The foundations of Ardöküm date back to a small cold iron workshop opened on May 15, 1960, by our founder Mr. Hilmi Özcan, a blacksmith devoted to his craft with great passion. Combining his mastery in shaping iron with an entrepreneurial spirit, he entered the rolling mill industry in 1967 and operated under the name Özcanlar Haddecilik for 20 years.
To be indispensable in its sector by creating value for its stakeholders.
For those who want to shape steel by combining it with fire, we produce rolling mill rolls and rings by bringing metal together with craftsmanship, upholding ethical values with our qualified human resources, without compromising on quality, through innovative management systems and technologies, within an environmentally friendly production approach.
Ardöküm was established as a small facility with a melting capacity of 3 tons and a team of 20 people.
A new 13,000 m² production facility located in the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone was commissioned, and the first casting was carried out on October 29, 1996. An in-house Quality Control system was also established.
Heavy-duty grinding and turning machines for roll production were invested in. The first roll export was made to Syria.
An investment was made in 2 CNC lathes and 1 large CNC milling machine.
Transitioned to the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System. A third induction furnace with a 4-ton melting capacity was installed, along with the commissioning of a second heat treatment furnace with a 20-ton capacity.
With investments in new universal and CNC-type machining tools, molding, and foundry equipment, the total production area was expanded to 20,000 m².
With the investment in a fourth induction furnace with a 6-ton melting capacity and the renovation of existing furnaces, the total melting capacity was increased to 20 tons.
A Materials Research and Development Laboratory was established. The Quality Management System transitioned from ISO 9001:2000 to ISO 9001:2008. The share of exports in total sales reached 70%.
Heavy section rolling mill rolls with a net weight of 12 tons were cast and exported to North America.
A third heat treatment furnace with a 65-ton capacity, powered by natural gas, was commissioned.
The investment in the resin sand preparation and reclamation plant was completed.
A new CNC machining workshop was commissioned.
A fourth heat treatment furnace with a 65-ton capacity, powered by natural gas, was commissioned.
The new induction furnace investment was completed:
4000 KW + 500 KW Dual Power, 2×6 tons and 1×10 tons. A seventh
heat treatment furnace with a 35-ton capacity, specifically for
rail and profile rolling mill rolls, was commissioned. As a result
of research and development activities, a new generation of
extra-hardened calibrated adamite rolls was added to the product
portfolio.
